Founded in 2018, Oslo-based Katapult Ocean is the first investor focused entirely on oceantech and related startups. The VC also operates a three-month accelerator and has invested in 32 startups from 17 countries worldwide.The VC typically invests at the seed or pre-seed level but in July 2020 it completed its first Series A round of $8.5m investment in Chilean social enterprise Betterfly. Other recent investments include the pre-seed rounds of US foodtech GreenCover and Dutch offshore solar tech SolarDuck.

Based in Frankfurt, GreenTec Capital Partners is a German social impact investor that focuses on supporting African tech and non-tech startups. The VC plans to increase its investment portfolio to a total of 400 enterprises by 2023. Former CEO of Lintas.me, a social news and curation site, David Wayne Ika holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Management from Pensacola Christian College. He had worked at the SemutApi Colony group of companies, FJ Benjamin, Lintas.me (previously known as LintasBerita) and Merah Putih Incubator. David founded Kurio in 2013 while serving as CEO of Lintas.me. He left Lintas.me in 2015 to focus on Kurio. David was born in Jakarta in 1981.

He recently left the startup in  January 2017 and is now the CTO of Happy5.He was also previously a co-founder and CTO of Indonesia’s location-based social network Koprol, with experience in building high scalable and high performance web applications.

Zulfikar Rifan is a serial entrepreneur based in Bandung, Indonesia, who established capsule hotel startup Bobobox in 2018. While studying for his degree in Information Systems at Universitas Harapan Bangsa Bandung, Indonesia, Zulfikar established his own fashion shoe brand. Upon graduating in 2015, he opened a cafe, established a new fashion brand and became involved with Kembangin.social, a social enterprise development platform based in Bandung.

Diego Gonzalez is a Galician engineer and entrepreneur with more than 15 years' experience in the financial services industry. In 2015, he co-founded Sensitrade, a revolutionary technology that captures stock market sentiment from social networks to predict stock exchange evolution with a success rate of 87%.In 2016, he co-founded Coinscrap, an app that facilitates micro-savings by rounding up purchases made with credit cards to the nearest euro.

Former MARS Indonesia and GTZ researcher Diajeng Lestari holds a Social & Political Science degree from the University of Indonesia. Her husband is Achmad Zaky, the founder of Indonesian startup BukaLapak. Diajeng was born in 1986.

Before becoming co-founder, CPO and growth hacker at Fabelio in February 2016, Filippo Lombardi was a commercial director at Linio Panama electronic marketplace until December 2015. She eventually returned to Indonesia and became an executive director at the Indonesian branch of international real estate agency RE/MAX Prestige.In 2014, she joined two high school friends to establish Du’Anyam, becoming the CMO at the social enterprise that seeks to empower women through wicker crafting.

Serial entrepreneur Bernardo Hernández entered the tech startup scene with his first internet venture idealista.com that has now transformed into a leading real estate platform in Spain. Since then, he has invested in well-known names in the Spanish digital market like Spain’s popular social network Tuenti, local free classified ads Wallapop and on-demand delivery app Glovo. Hernández was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Universidad Camilo José Cela from Madrid when he was the Product Management director at Google in 2010. In September 2017, he became the executive chairman at Citibox.
