Hong Kong-based Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Limited was founded as a jewelry store in Guangzhou in 1929. Listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong in December 2011, it is one of the world's largest jewelry companies, with total assets of around US$8 billion. The Group owns several jewelry brands, including Chow Tai Fook, Chow Tai Fook T MARK, Hearts On Fire, MONOLOGUE and SOINLOVE, and operates a retail network in East Asia and the US. The Group invests in other firms through its VMS Legend Investment Fund, which has funded companies from fields such as fintech, hardware, healthcare, streaming media and cloud.

Visa is a US-based financial services company best known for its electronic payment system used worldwide for credit and debit cards. As the operator of the payment service, it also provides security and risk management solutions. It is listed in the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker code V.The firm prefers to invest and partner with innovative early-stage firms in the payments, fintech and emerging technology spaces to advance Visa's strategic and financial objectives. Some of its investments include Indonesian ride-hailing and payment super-app Gojek, cybersecurity firms MagicCube and LoginID, payment platforms Klarna and Flutterwave, as well as digital banking platform Greenwood Bank.

Castel Capital is a privately-owned Dutch venture capital and equity platform. The company also works with co-investors and private family offices to build bespoke investment portfolios. Castel focuses on both tech and non-tech business opportunities across Europe. Seed funding of €100,000–€500,000 and Series A rounds of €500,000–€1 million are generally available for tech deals. Castel has a hands-on management approach and seeks to add value to the portfolio companies. The firm has invested in 10 startups in diverse sectors like digital health, fintech and transportation.

Founded in 2017 by the ex-COO of Deutsche Bank Henry Ritchotte, Ritmir Ventures is based in London and has invested in nine companies internationally. Ritchotte is passionate about digital innovation within the banking sector and established Ritmir specifically to invest in fintech startups during the seed and Series A funding stages.

Endeavor Catalyst is part of the global investment company Endeavor. Launched in 2012 and based in New York, it supports the equity funding efforts of Endeavour entrepreneurs with third party investors. Its portfolio investments had a total capital value of over US$100 million and it specializes in mid-stage investments across sectors and different countries, with significant investment in transportation startups to date. In 2020, it participated in the second €12m part of the €23m Series A round of EV charging hardware startup, Wallbox, with an undisclosed investment. Other recent investments in 2020 include in the US$40m Series D round of Egyptian healthtech Vezeeta and in the undisclosed seed round of Turkish fintech Figopara.

Founded in 1997, Seventure Partners is one of Europe’s most prolific VC investors with a portfolio of over 200 startups across both tech and non-tech sectors. The French VC has also managed more than 40 exits in total. It mainly focuses on fintech and insurtech, French and German startups and in life sciences in Europe, North America and Asia.Its five funds cover different market segments, ranging from €24m–€200m, with investments of €500,000–€10m per round. Total funding for a company can reach €20m, right through the early to late stages. Recent investments include the $6.7m Series A round of US biotech Dermala and the $10.7m Series A round of US self-cleaning water bottle startup LARQ.

Founded in Boston in 1946, Fidelity is one of the world’s largest asset managers, with more than 25m household investors and 22,000 corporates using its services. It has invested in more than 100 companies across market segments, investment rounds and geographies and managed numerous IPOs, including Twilio, Reddit, and Peloton. Its most recent investments include injecting $200m in March 2021 into US-based unicorn Diamond Foundry, the first certified carbon-neutral lab-produced diamond manufacturer. In the same month, it also participated in the $29m Series B round for US asset management fintech player Ethic.

Jungle Ventures was founded by serial entrepreneur Anurag Srivastava and business angel Amit Anand in Singapore. Anurag arrived in Singapore in 1993 and established interior design Space Matrix group in 2006. Amit was a vice chairman of Business Angels Network South East Asia (BANSEA). He is currently a member of the Advisory Council for Ethics in AI & Data in Singapore.The VC specializes in the finance, retail, software, media, travel and hospitality sectors. Investments include budget hotel network RedDoorz, microfinancing fintech Kredivo, photography services platform SweetEscape and digital logistics Waresix.

The VC arm of Kalonia, a Barcelona-based management consultancy focused on corporate digital transformation, Kalonia Venture Partners invests in B2B software, AI and fintech startups in the Spanish-speaking world. The VC is currently investing via its KVP III fund of €4.3m, with a target of 10 investments of about €5m on average each, taking equity stakes of 10% onward in co-investment; plus two follow-ons. Founded by Josep Arroyo, Alejandro Olabarría y Enrique Marugán, Kalonia began helping Spanish investors diversify into Silicon Valley and other US startups as early as 2001. Currently its funds come mainly from Barcelona-based family offices. Co-founder Alejandro Olabarría is son of Pedro Olabarría Delclaux, the powerful patriarch heading one of Spain's richest industrialist families today, with interests across industrial farming, banking, real estate, automotive and paper.

Speedinvest is a pan-European, early-stage venture capital firm with offices in Vienna, Munich, San Francisco, Berlin, London and Paris. The firm helps startups grow internationally. Its raised its third and latest fund of €190m in Feburary 2020, bringing total AUM to over €400m. Each investment ticket size starts from €50,000 and goes up to €1.5m. Founded by Austrian Oliver Holle, a former entrepreneur who founded his business in the 2000s and went on to work another tech startup in Silicon Valley. With conviction that "European founders can win big in the Valley and beyond,” Rolle started Speedinvest with a €10m fund in 2011.The firm mainly invests in pan-European fintech startups, digital health, consumer tech, B2B SaaS and deep tech startups.   

Currently based in the UK, Carlos González-Cadenas is a serial entrepreneur and business angel. In 2017, he became the CPO and CTO of GoCardless, one of the fintech partners of Billin. He founded Fogg in Barcelona in 2008 to build an advanced semantic search platform for the travel industry that was acquired by Scotland's Skyscanner in 2013. As CPO of Skyscanner in UK, he was able to scale the product development organization globally before the company was acquired by the Ctrip group for US$1.75 billion in November 2016. He was also part of Oberlo that was acquired by Shopify.

Founded in Beijing in May 2015, Chunxiao Capital mainly invests in angel/seed to Series B funding rounds. With staff of 22, the VC has invested in over 50 companies by March 2019. Investments include technology innovations in fintech, big data and AI. Other investment sectors involve corporate services, Industry 4.0, B2B and SaaS for industrial enterprises and consumer-oriented businesses like retail, sports, maternal and infant care.In May 2019, the Asset Management Association of China revoked Chunxiao's private equity certification due to links with five online P2P lending firms facing default problems.

Based in San Mateo California, KBW Ventures was founded by HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal Al Saud. The asset management firm’s CEO is also the chairman of KBW Investments that was founded in 2013 in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).KBW Ventures is part of the KBW Group and mainly invests in companies involved in sustainable food, artificial intelligence, blockchain technologies and fintech. In 2019, the VC had already invested in 24 companies in sectors like e-gaming, drones, e-commerce and plant-based proteins. Recently, it also increased its stakes in two Californian biotechs BlueNalu and TurtleTree Labs. The aim is to open up the Middle East markets to global tech companies.

David Spector is the president and co-founder of the online lingerie company ThirdLove. A former partner at Sequioa Capital, he is a prolific angel investor with investments in around 30 startups across different geographies and market segments.  Spector’s most recent disclosed investments are from 2020 and include participation in the $4.6m seed round of US fintech provider CapChase and in the $70m Series C round of US mobile marketing company Attentive.
