Elevation China Capital (ECC) is an equity investment firm, with offices in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Silicon Valley. Founded in Beijing in June 2010 by managing partner Man Li, the VC focuses on investments in early-stage and high-growth stage tech companies.In August 2019, Shenzen's IGTech became its most recent investment as part of a seed funding worth RMB 10m. The Guangdong company provides intelligent manufacturing solutions to help digitize the production process to improve safety, efficiency and quality using advance data management technology.

Fernando Cabello-Astolfi is a Spanish serial entrepreneur and angel investor in the fintech ecosystem. He has a masters degree in Global Market Economics from the London School of Economics. He is the co-founder and CEO of Ibercheck, a leading company that issues solvency reports for individuals in Spain. In 2014, he founded consumer credit fintech Aplazame, which was sold to WiZink Bank in 2018. Fernando is the CEO of Aplazame, heading the product, risk and finance departments. More recently, he launched Devengo, an innovative payroll model that allows employees to collect their salary when needed, instead of on a fixed date each month, at no extra cost to the company.

Mercy Corps’ Social Venture Fund is a seed and early-stage social impact fund operated by not-for-profit humanitarian organization Mercy Corps. The US-based organization is increasingly moving into tech investments, with key interests in agtech and fintech solutions creating social impact. FinX, a platform designed to accelerate financial inclusion worldwide, was also launched recently. Distributed ledgers, digital assets, cryptocurrencies and other digital financial solutions will be deployed to alleviate poverty in local communities. The fund has invested in 16 companies at the seed stage. Investments in the February 2021 included a pre-seed round for Kenyan healthcare fintech platform ImaliPay. In December 2020, it joined a $5.3m seed round for Colombian remittance tech Valiu.

Boyu Capital is a China-focused investment firm with offices in Beijing and Hong Kong. It manages tens of billions of US dollars and is one of the largest private equity investment firm in China, and mainly invests in sectors of consumer and retail, financial services, healthcare, media and technology.Boyu Capital was founded in 2011 by the late Ma Xuezheng (died in September 2019), former senior vice-president and financial director of Lenovo Group and managing director and partner of TPG, and Zhang Zixin (Louis Cheung), former general manager of Ping An Insurance. Boyu Capital's first chairman of the board was Jiang Zhicheng (Alvin Jiang), the grandson of former Chinese president Jiang Zemin.

SoftBank Ventures Asia, founded in 2000, is a subsidiary of SoftBank Korea and part of the SoftBank Group. It is SoftBank’s early stage venture arm, with a geographical focus in Asia, the US, Europe and Israel. Founded in 2004, Zurich-based Alpha Associates is a spin-off from Swiss Life Private Equity Partners. The independent fund manager and advisor specializes in private equity, private debt and infrastructure investments, offering investment services to institutional and private wealth clients.Besides offering a range of private market funds of funds, Alpha also manages Private Equity Holding Ltd with a diversified portfolio of investments in six public-listed companies. Recent direct co-investments include participation in the $54m Series B round of Austrian marketplace Refurbed in August 2021.

A teenage prodigy who was admitted to the University of Science and Technology of China at aged 14, graduating at aged 18, Xu Xueyin built his career at leading tech names before co-founding Meicai. He held IT development jobs at eBay and Baidu, and in July 2010, joined ex-Googler Lee Kai-fu’s incubator Innovation Works as program founder and CTO.
