The Ford Foundation is an international philanthropy established in 1936 by Edsel Ford, son of the founder of the Ford Motor Company Henry Ford. The foundation funds initiatives in various fields with the goal of advancing human welfare. Headquartered in New York, it has offices outside the US, including an Indonesian branch that was opened in 1953.
