Founded in Beijing in 2010 with a registered capital of RMB 12m, Hongdao Capital manages six RMB funds and one US dollar fund, totaling RMB 2bn. It has invested in over 80 companies, including unicorns Ofo, WeDoctor, Wecash, and Renrendai.com. Enlightened Hospitality Investments (EHI) is a New York-based growth fund launched by Danny Meyer and his Union Square Hospitality Group (USHG). The fund leverages USHG's network of chefs, IT, marketers, and industry experts.Active since the early ’90s, it currently has $220m under management. To date, EHI has made eight investments bringing technology into the hospitality sector through companies operating in the food and beverage space.

Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) started as a division of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works in 1933, and established as an independent in 1937. As of December 2019, it ranked tenth largest company in the world by revenue. An established multinational automotive manufacturer, Toyota has invested in startups working on everything from online marketing to cybersecurity, placing an focus on new-generation mobility services. In 2019, it invested $600m in Chinese ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing, and founded a joint venture to offer car maintenance, insurance and finance services to ride-hailing drivers. Also that year, Toyota invested $500m in Uber for self-driving cars. In early 2020, the auto giant invested $400 in the self-driving startup Pony.ai. Before the investment, the two had already partnered to test self-driving cars on public roads in China. 

A partner at Chinese VC firm Ceyuan Ventures, Richard Chen holds a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Carnegie Mellon University in the United States. He is currently CEO of Yifei Investment Holding. Chen is also the founding partner of Huangpu River Capital.

Cathay Innovation invests in small to medium-sized companies with the potential to rapidly grow internationally. By 2016, Cathay Innovation had conducted 59 investments, with a total investment of €514 million. It has offices in France, China, the US and Germany, with €1.2 billion under management.

Transformed from the well-established state-owned Govtor Capital in 1992, Addor Capital is one of the most influential investment institutions in China today. It manages more than RMB 75 billion, and has set up more than 70 different investment funds, backing more than 650 startups.

Beijing Easyhome Investment Holdings Group Co., Ltd. was established in 1999. Its main business is home furnishing. Easyhome also works in intelligent logistics, financial services, overseas e-commerce and digital intelligence. In 2017, Easyhome earned sales revenue of more than RMB 60 billion.

Ignacio Martín de Andrés has over eight years of experience working at consultancies such as KPMG, PwC and Grant Thornton.He made an angel investment in Reclamador.es, a web platform that manages and automates consumer claims, and has also helped define the company's strategy and service-level agreement.Since 2019, he's been a partner at Venture Partnership, supporting the company by defining growth strategy, KPIs and process optimization for startups in the company’s investment portfolio.

Founded in 2012, BAIC Capital is the investment arm of China's state-owned carmaker, BAIC Group. Headquartered in Beijing, it has branches in six cities across China and has two subsidiaries in Frankfurt and Silicon Valley. It currently manages over 40 funds, worth RMB 30bn. With a focus on connected cars and mobility services, it has invested in more than 100 companies including EV manufacturer BAIC BJEV, battery manufacturer and technology company CATL and ride-hailing giant Didi Chuxing.

American financial services company Capital Group was established in 1931. As one of the world’s oldest investment management firms, it has over $2tn assets under management. Major known investments include arms and aerospace firm BAE Systems and British American Tobacco. In 1992, Capital Group established Capital Group Private Markets, which specializes in alternative private equity and venture capital investments. This organization has invested in companies like ride-hailing firms Gojek and Didi Chuxing, Philippines media conglomerate ABS-CBN, and more.

Captii Ventures focuses on building Southeast Asian based startups by providing access to entrepreneurial expertise and experience to support business growth and development. It is a multi stage investor, with a special interest in mobile tech startups, marketplace platforms that facilitate better matching of supply and demand and in new media that disrupts traditional communication channels. It likes startups that use technology to solve age old problems. 

Founded in 2007 in Shanghai, CTC Capital currently has branches in Beijing, Suzhou and Taipei. The company invests in both US dollars and RMB and has three funds under its management. It mainly targets the TMT, clean energy and consumer product sectors. Half of its management team have many years experience working in Taiwan’s semiconductor industry. In 2019, CTC Capital set up the Guodiao Guoxin Zhixin Fund to invest in the semiconductor integrated circuit sector.

Subtraction Capital is a VC founded by managing partner Jason Portnoy who was previously VP of Financial Planning and Analysis at PayPal Inc.Portnoy supports portfolio companies in their scale-up and hyper-growth stage, working with their CEOs to raise capital, navigate complex negotiations, build and manage teams. The firm typically invests in SaaS startups in the San Francisco Bay Area and Salt Lake City.
