Co-founder and CTO of Attentive
A developer with over 10 years of experience, Pedro Araújo received his bachelor’s in Computer Science and his master’s in Informatics from the University of Minho. He worked as a web developer and junior programmer at several companies before joining WeDo Technology as a developer and analyst in 2011. In 2013, Araújo joined Network Locum as senior Python/Django developer, leaving the company in 2015 to start Attentive, where he still serves as CTO. Previously, he had co-founded Portuguese startup and events directory NovaWeb with his brother Daniel. NovaWeb closed in 2015.

An expert in graphics hardware, Jason Yang obtained both his master’s degree and a doctorate in Computer Science from MIT in 2002 and 2004 respectively. He worked as a technical director at AMD from 2005 to 2016, taking multiple roles from senior engineer to senior manager of GPU Performance Engineering.He co-founded a mobile game and game services company Kumakore in 2012. He left the startup in 2014 and co-founded DGene as CTO in 2016, in charge of R&D for light-field technology.

Stevanus Iskandar Halim graduated with an associate's degree in Computer Science from Bellevue College in the US and continued to pursue a bachelor's degree at UC Irvine. During his time at university, he developed and monetized games for the iOS platform.After graduating from UCI, he returned to Indonesia and joined Ematic Solutions, an email-based marketing campaign solutions company. After two years, he left the company in 2019 to develop equity crowdfunding platform CrowdDana together with university acquaintance James Wiryadi and Ematic colleague Handison Jaya.

Tyler Skelton is the CPO and co-founder of pioneering circular economy B2B asset reuse platform Rheaply, where he has worked full-time since 2016. Xu and Alex Gu co-founded Jinghe Robot in 2012 and Fourier Intelligence in 2015. Xu served as CTO at Fourier Intelligence from 2015 to 2018, at which time he left to found new exoskeleton startup ULS Robotics.

The entity employs scientists and has a model available to startups to identify sustainability opportunities in the US grid. It currently has 30 startups in its portfolio across technologies and geographies. Among its most recent investments in early 2021 are the $11.5m Series A round of US low-emission hydrogen producer C-Zero and in the $50m Series B round of US sustainable metal producer Boston Metals. In January 2021, BEV also closed a new round of another $1 billion to invest in up to 50 startups.
